Hello again! I thought I’d post my finished wall hanging. I love the metallic and holographic threads and was inspired by my friend Gail ( who is an AMAZING seamstress) to bind this quilt using the Wave stitch on my Baby Lock Acclaim. She bound two beautiful advent calendars this way and it looked so nice! I sometimes forget that I have this stitch on my serger! I used YLI Pearl Crown and Superior threads Razzle Dazzle for the Wave stitch. The machine sailed right through 6 layers of cotton at the top left and right corners (I have the triangular hanging envelopes for the dowel in those corners).

Though it’s not completely perfect, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. I hope the recipient likes it! I’m making a second version as this piece has been well liked by some of the folks who follow what I do. It really is outside of my usual art quilting but sometimes it’s nice to revisit a more traditional form of the art.
